this was a fun game, which of these have people i know partook in recently (let's say this year), or are things i know people still like...all the bold ones.

Today, these proverbial junk piles contain more than just scooters, but also IPAs, escape rooms, listicles, smash burgers, Garden State, MySpace, brunch, @shitmydadsays, tight jeans, sans serif fonts, life hacks, axe throwing bars, Williamsburg, speakeasies, Urban Outfitters, electroclash, fast casual bowls, food trucks, food delivery apps, ridesharing apps, laundry apps—apps for every conceivable action—and even 44th US President Barack Obama himself.

not really sure what the point of the article was? but i am pretty culturally removed from...most things...that the author was discussing.

being "encouraged" to apply to a conservation cohort comprised of members of some of the larger outdoor recreation nonprofits across the united states

on paper it looks like a great opportunity and a good way to get connected with people who love climbing, running, surfing, kayaking, etc., all across the country, who are deeply involved with their organization(s), and who want to get involved with public advocacy and policy making as it relates to public lands conservation and outdoor recreation

kickoff retreat in colorado for a few days and then a full week in dc later this year if i were to get in

now you’ve got me wondering: is it the algorithm driving people to those discords over time or is it the traceability of the internet making it easier to identify those who would have gone unnoticed 20-30 or more years ago

i think either way: give me more regulation of the pornhub, YouTube, hell even Spotify. especially Facebook. all the algorithms.

imo it can be both. there’s fault in the persons and there’s fault in the algorithms. to me, this a companion piece to a different article i shared about YouTube from a while back.

that’s unfortunate to hear about goobster

totally agree on the woker-than-thou thing. the only other aspect of this I’ll add is that there is no pleasing those types of people. you will always lose at some point.

i have seen multiple people on instagram talking about how they discredit corey bookers filibuster because he made some pro israel remarks and didn’t support palestine during the filibuster

this is one of many reasons why i don’t like progressives

How’s your friend handle this? Is he kind of over trying to fight it?

So sorry for your loss. That is far too early in life to decide it's time to go.

there’s definitely no, NO, possible way that tariffs announced on vehicles produced outside the United States is a way to obscure the Atlantic posting the entirety, unredacted, of the war plans they were texted.

no way.

how does this shit end for trump and the rest of these assholes

This just sounds like bad or missing management. Do what you can, and keep looking for a better work environment for yourself.

The cabin sounds great! Cabin's even on a rainy day are hard to beat. We have a slight, I think 2% to 4% last I looked, chance of tornado later today here which is...not normal.
